Meet the Team

Jacob M. Morse

Jacob M. Morse is a trial lawyer who fights for those harmed, hurt, or wronged in all aspects of litigation, including negotiation, mediation, discovery, arbitration, and trial. As a plaintiff’s lawyer, he assists individuals and their families in a variety of difficult cases, including vehicular and catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and workplace injuries. Jacob also counsels clients through employment discrimination and retaliation cases and labor law disputes.

Jacob’s litigation experience includes representing clients in United States District Courts, North Carolina trial courts, federal and state regulatory investigations, and arbitration venues, including the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS). He holds active bar licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and the United States Virgin Islands.

Prior to founding Morse Fritts PLLC, Jacob was a member of a consumer class action and complex litigation group at an international law firm. He has also worked at a boutique plaintiff’s law firm and was a member of a commercial litigation practice group at a large regional law firm, where he focused on business-related civil litigation. Some of Jacob’s prior experience includes representing plaintiffs injured by trucking companies and inebriated or distracted drivers, helping victims of catastrophic medical negligence, and representing a multinational waste management corporation in defense of a class action tort lawsuit.

Jacob graduated cum laude from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he was the inaugural recipient of the Leadership Scholar Award (now the Leary and Joy Davis Leadership Scholarship), a full-tuition scholarship that recognizes students with the potential to become leaders in the law. During law school, Jacob was a member of Campbell Law School’s nationally recognized mock trial team, where he earned more individual trial advocacy accolades than any other student in Campbell Law School history.
